A Dolphins Fan

Image
Hubby is a Miami Dolphins Fan. He loves them win, or lose. I never watched NFL football before we dated, so I inherited them as my team as well. Hubby is on Fin Heaven any chance he gets. He's actually the one that inspired me to blog, as I realized people will read just about anything online. So of course, our off spring were to destined to be Dolphins Fans. At 18 months, hubby has taught Eloise to kiss the Dolphin's logo, whenever she sees it; on daddy's hoodie, on daddy's t-shirt, and in his draft magazine. It's very cute. And when she sees their division rival, the Buffalo Bills' logo, she smacks it with her hand. We all laugh now, but I'm bracing myself for the day she sees a kid on the playground, wearing a Bill's t-shirt, and punches him, or her in the gut. Can you tell this is our first child?

She Looks Like Me Too!

Image
I have a beautiful daughter. She is so freakin' cute, I want to cry. So being the narcissist, that I am, it really gets under my skin, I'm being a tad dramatic, that people always say that she looks just like my husband. I admit, he's a good looking man, but the little mouth, the wide round eyes, those are mine. If you look closely at the picture in the background, you'll see me at age 2, sitting in my dad's lap. Eloise looks just like me when I was her age. I'll try to get a copy of that picture on my blog, so you can see for yourself. Would anyone else take offense? Or am I really that vain?

The Sweetest Thing

All of sudden, Eloise's language skills have just taken off. At 18 months she can sign cracker, milk, bird, more, thank you, please, and of course, hat. She can say daddy, kitty, bubbles, bye, ball, Buddha, bath, roar, and my favorite, mum. It is so sweet to hear her say mum. Her mouth curls at the sides trying to hide her smile. There's a twinkle in her eye, like she knows it makes me so happy.

We Bought A House!

In less than a month, we will be moving to the suburbs. The house is about 30 years old, but the people that own it, took great care of it, so it's move in ready. We don't even need to repaint the walls. There's a huge backyard for Eloise to run around in. She pretty much picked the house. The first time we entered it, she just started walking around the place, like it was her own. She usually needs half an hour, to get comfortable in a new setting. When we took her into the backyard, we were ready to make an offer. Eloise ran up and down the lawn, pointing out flowers, and rocks, and giggling. I'm super psyched about it and can't wait to blog about Eloise's adventures there.
